UNITED NATIONS

At its inaugural meeting in 1945, the United Nations allocated three seats each to 41 of the 42 Non-Governmental Organizations it invited, with one exception—Rotary. Due to its significant size and influence, Rotary was granted 11 seats instead of the standard 3. Moreover, Rotary took on the representation of states that had recently collapsed and lost their administrative qualifications. Consequently, a total of 50 Rotarians played a role in the founding of the United Nations. This is why Rotary International is considered to have indirectly contributed to the establishment of the United Nations.

Rotaract Global Model United Nations (RG-MUN), a simulation of the United Nations, is specifically organized for Rotaract.

ROTARY INTERNATIONAL

The first Rotary Club was established in Chicago in 1905. Rotary Clubs rapidly expanded to America, Europe, and Asia, achieving international status when the membership exceeded 250,000 in 1917. At the initial Rotary Convention held in the same year, it was officially named Rotary International, the designation it holds today. Rotaract is recognized as a youth service stemming from the youth-focused projects undertaken by Rotary International.

Rotary International (RI) is a Non-Governmental Organization boasting more than 1 million members in 185 countries worldwide. With state status and a permanent seat in the United Nations, it holds considerable influence. Naturally, Rotaract, being the youth structure of such a vast organization, is also substantial in size. To facilitate easier management and communication, it is systematically divided into units called Zones, and Zones are further subdivided into Districts.

District 2430, established in 1988, is one of the three districts within Turkey.

ROTARACT DISTRICT 2430

The Rotaract Representation for District 2430 is one of the 3 districts within Turkey, covering a geographical area that includes the provinces of Central and Eastern Anatolia, as well as the countries of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. In this expansive region, there are 60 Rotaract Clubs with over 1000 actively engaged Rotaract members working for the betterment of society.

District 2430 is tasked with coordinating these 60 Rotaract Clubs. Thanks to a District Team comprising members from each of the 60 Clubs, every club has a voice and maintains communication with one another.
